What is this fruit???
I saw this plant in a public garden in the Philippines. The temperature range in this place is between 15 - 24 deg Celcius. These dark pink fruits grow from the bottom of the stems. The fruit are about 1 inch in diameter. When cracked open, there are 6 seeds inside, divided like a mangosteen fruit, with a thin layer of white flesh surrounding black seeds.
I'd like to plant the seeds but really curious to know what this plant is, and if it is toxic because i have dogs roaming in my yard.
Please help me identify this. Nobody in the public garden even knows what it is!
