Care of Cut Flowers after receiving as gift

When you receive the flowers as gift, immediately place the stems at an angle of 45 degrees and cut 1 or 2 cm off the stem using a sharp knife.
Give the cutflowers clean or tap water and put them in a clean vase adding the correct amount of a preservative such as Chrysal.
If flowers appear more dull or limp or too cold on arrival, cut 5 cm off the stem.
Wrap the flowers in paper and put them in a cool place to recover for three hours.
Remove lower leaves and damaged ones.
After 3-4 days, if the flowers show dullness, cut the flowers with a sharp knife under an angle of 25 to 45 degrees. Never use a dull cutter or scissors as it will damage the stem, enabling the flower to take up any water.
Add water to the vase containing flowers or flower arrangement every day.
Put the flowers making an arrangement with vases. Vases are ideal for flowers as we can see the water level, and also cleaning the glass is easy.
Never mix fresh flowers with older flowers, as fresh flowers will be poisoned by stale water and bacteria.
While using leaf shine products, Keep them at a proper distance and spray very thinly.

Care of Cut Flowers in an Arrangement

Do not overcrowd the flowers in the container.
Check the water level in the vase and replenish it frequently.
Flowers that go limp and not drinking well need to be recut.
Always discard wilted blooms.
Keep flowers away from drafts, direct sunlight, and ripening fruits, which emit ethylene gas, a substance that causes buds to remain closed, petals to have poor color, and flowers to have a shortened vase life.
