Some Vera Wang Tips on Floral Arrangements
Some Floral designs to achieve the more natural and unstructured look
- Domed – the flowers are tightly massed within a vessel to have a domed effect on top, the outer edge looking smooth and seamless.
- Straight & Tall – tall, straight-stemmed flowers in tall, straight vases. This usually shows off the beauty of the stem, as well as the bloom.
- Free-form – working with the natural curvature of each stem for loose and informal appeal.
- Grouped – a similar group of flowers (whether it be in color or in texture) are grouped in a cluster, usually in a small vase.
Some Pointers on the spiraling technique: An easy and spontaneous way to create beautiful flower arrangements
1. Hold the first stem at its middle. 2. Angle the second stem diagonally. 3. Decide whether to add foliage as you go along or at the end. 4. Continue to add stems diagonally creating a spiral at the middle. 5. When you are satisfied with your creation cut the stem 1 inch off the bottom and place in container.
