Andrew McIndoe

Andrew McIndoe is a Landscape Designer of UK.Andrew's energy along with his enthusiasm for horticulture and eye for colour and design has shaped his career. Andrew attained a Degree in Horticulture at Bath University. Andrew McIndoe joined Hillier Nurseries in 1974, initially as manager of the company's garden centre in Winchester.

Andrew's energy along with his enthusiasm for horticulture and eye for colour and design has shaped his career. Now Deputy Managing Director of Hillier Nurseries he is responsible for the development and operation of the Hillier chain of garden centres. In addition he is the designer of the Hillier exhibit at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

Andrew' Awards and Achievements

• Andrew's garden exhibits of the last 19 years have upheld the company' unprecedented record of 62 consecutive gold medals at the show.
• Andrew started the Hillier Gardening Club 15 years ago.
• Andrew is a regular contributor to a number of magazines, newspapers and BBC radio.
• Andrew lectures widely to gardening groups and societies and leads numerous gardening tours.

About Hillier Gardening Club: Andrew built this club to guide inexperienced gardeners for their problems. Gardening is a hobby and an interest for millions. Through the Hillier Gardening Club we talk directly to our customers and aim to give budding gardeners the help they need to succeed in their gardens.

Hillier Gardening Club was started in 1990 by Garden Centre Director Andrew McIndoe and Philippa Bensley, a contributor to, and editor of, the Club magazine to the present day. The club was launched as part of a National “Gardening for Beginners” campaign and has always had an ambitious agenda to reach a mass audience. At the start of 2007 membership is over 180,000 households.
