Plant and Flower Festival
The fall fruit and vegetable season has kicked into full gear, and now the Pee Dee State Farmers Market is celebrating local produce at the 2009 Fall Plant and Flower Festival.
National flower
There are 13 classes of chrysanthemums whose petal shapes, flower size and shape, and colors vary. The Japanese revere chrysanthemums -- their national flower -- and celebrate them and the autumn season with elaborate Kiku exhibits featuring painstakingly grown displays of the flowers.
25-plus gardens
The Chicago Flower & Garden Show - which in 2010 is celebrating its 16th year as the iconic Midwest horticulture and landscape showcase - will again cultivate excitement and enthrall crowds when it returns to Navy Pier on Chicago's lakefront from Saturday, March 6, through Sunday, March 14.
Traditional flowers
The Edible Garden Show 2010 (19-21 March, Stoneleigh Park) is backed by the 103-member National Society of Allotment and Leisure Gardeners (NSALG) and the Royal Agricultural Society of England.
Horticulture show
The Community Youth Group is for anyone in Grades 7 to 12. We will meet this Friday (Sept. 25) at the church at 5:45 p.m. to travel to a special Youth Event at Crieff Hills (south of Guelph). A parental permission form is required for this event so contact the church office to get a form on-line.
Floral arrangements
Tips for making attractive fall floral arrangements will be the center piece of "Fall Fantasy," at the Rockaway Valley Garden Club (RVGC) meeting at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 13, at the Boonton Township municipal building on Powerville Road in Boonton Township.

Orchids display
The South African Orchid Council is hosting its 14th National Orchid Show and Conference in Durban. This year promises to be spectacular again as orchid growers and enthusiasts from across the country show off their award winning orchids. Some of the most exquisite varieties will be on display and for anyone who is an orchid lover, this is definitely the place to be.
Wild Flowers
Orchid lovers will be in for a treat at this year's annual Grampians Wildflower Show. The 72nd Grampians Wildflower Show will run from October 1 until October 4, where a colourful array of delicate orchid species endemic to the Grampians will be showcased alongside other native wildflowers unique to the region.
Floral art competition
Stawell Orchid Society will conduct their annual spring show at the Stawell Entertainment Centre next weekend. The Spring Show will be conducted over three big days, from Friday, September 25 to Sunday, September 27.

A STUNNING array of colours from some eye-catching displays will greet visitors to the Harrogate Autumn Flower Show over the next three days. Whether it is gladioli, chrysanthemums, bonsai or vegetables of every shape and size, there is something for any gardening enthusiast at the Great Yorkshire Showground.
Beautiful Orchids
The Ridge Orchid Society will present its 47th annual show, Orchid Fantasy, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Lake Mirror Center, 121 S. Lake Ave.
Drought hardy plants
The Pomonal Native Flower Show is set to once again be in full bloom for spring, celebrating its twenty-seventh consecutive year. The Native Flower Show is being held on Saturday, October 3 and Sunday, October 4 at the Pomonal Hall. One of the first and still one of the best, the theme for this year's show is 'Drought hardy plants' from all states of Australia.
Ergon Energy Flower
ALL the fun of the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers starts today with the Ergon Energy Flower, Food and Wine Festival kicking off in Queens Park from 10am. During the day there are plenty of things happening with award-winning floral displays, interactive horticultural workshops, delicious dining and plenty of activities for the kids.
Chipperfield flower show
The hunt is on for the longest runner bean and mis-shapen vegetable at this year's Chipperfield flower show. The autumn show, in the village hall, will be on Saturday, September 19.

The Droitwich Spa and District Horticultural Society will hold its autumn flower show this weekend. The event on Saturday, September 19 and Sunday, September 20 will take place at David's Nurseries, Ash Lane, Martin Hussingtree.

Chippewa Garden Club
The Chippewa Garden Club, celebrating its 60th anniversary, will take that theme for its biannual Standard Flower Show.From 1-5 p.m. Sept. 12 and noon to 3 p.m. Sept. 13 the club will host "Thanks for the memories: A 60-year stroll through past CGC flower shows" at the Brecksville Community Center, 1 Community Drive, Brecksville.
Diseworth Flower Show
The event will take place in the Village Hall on Hall Gate in Diseworth with the gates opening at 2.00 pm.
Home and Garden show
The 25th Annual Home and Garden Show will be Sept. 25 and 26, the Home Builders Association of the Lowcountry and 303 Associates announced. The event will be 4 to 8 p.m. on Sept. 25 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 26 at Beaufort Town Center. Although the event is free and open to the public, Habitat for Humanity will accept donations at the door.
Variety of orchids
The Mitchell Park Horticultural Conservatory is proud to host Southeastern Wisconsin's largest Orchid Show, Fall in Love with Orchids 2009, on the weekend of September 19th & 20th from 9am to 4pm.
Beautiful flower arrangements
If you want to see beautiful flower arrangements, plants and photography, take a trip to the Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library. The free event will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Sept. 18 and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 19 at the Central Library, 40 E. St. Clair St.
Potted plants
The Sequoyah Trail Garden Club of Madisonville will present a Standard Flower Show, "Autumn in Monroe County," from 1 to 4 p.m. Sept. 20 at the Cora Veal Center, 144 College St., Madisonville. The show is open to the public and admission is free.
Floral display
The Garden Club of Old Greenwich will host a standard flower show titled "On Location: Lights . . . Camera . . . Action" on Friday, Sept. 18, from 2 to 7 p.m. at the First Congregational Church, 108 Sound Beach Ave., Old Greenwich. This event is open to the public and admission is free.
Flower and Vegetable Show
This year's Pudsey Allotments and Cottage Gardens Association Flower and Vegetable Show will be held in memory of Gerry Thompson. The event at the United Reformed Church Schoolroom on Saturday, September 12, will be opened at 3pm by Dr Timothy Large.
60th year of garden show
The Simpsonville Garden Club will celebrate Sixty years of Garden Clubing on September 18 & 19 by presenting: A Standard Flower Show. The Show is open to the public and will be held at the Simpsonville Municipal Park in the Community Club House from 12:00 - 5:00 on Friday and 10:00 - 4:00 on Saturday.
Flowers and Fruits display
The Albourne Flower Show, held for the first time last year, was a great success and there is every reason to believe that this year's show will be even more popular. It is bigger and better, having extended hours and 100 classes, and there are several other new attractions. Hence the change of name to the Albourne Village Show even though the two grand marquees housing the exhibits will still be the focus of the show.

GOUROCK Horticultural Society stage their Autumn Flower Show this weekend. It takes place on Saturday and Sunday in the Gamble Halls, Shore Street, from 2pm until 5pm on both days.

The third Dickleburgh Church Flower and Art Festival takes place this weekend from 10am to 5.30pm on Saturday and 10.30am to 4.30pm on Sunday at All Saints Church.
