Bahrain International Garden Show (BIGS) was opened by Her Highness Shaikha Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty King Hamad and chairwoman of Supreme Council for Women, at a private ceremony yesterday.

Flowers, vegetables and gardens are on show at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), until Sunday.

Riffa BIGS is open to the public from today until Sunday, from 10am to 9pm...

EDO Finance and Planning Hyderabad Javed Junejo, who is also the ener of central organisng committee for holding a three-day Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai Flowers Exhibition, has asked the interested individuals and organisations to get their stalls registered latest by March 1 failing which no request would be entertained.

He said this while presiding over a meeting of heads of all subcommittees to review the work on progress of assignments entrusted to them at Shahbaz Hall, Shahbaz Building, on Wednesday.

They include competition in seasonal flowers, foliage plants, roses and other flowering plants, cactus, flowers arrangements, stalls other than flowers and special prize in government education/private institutions and handicapped students...
