Connors State College is offering horticulture classes for the spring 2007 semester.Topics include: residential landscaping, maintaining the home landscape and selecting plants for Oklahoma landscapes. Potential students will be able to select one class or two or take all three classes.The first class offered is residential landscaping. Class meets from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Thursdays on Jan. 18, 25, Feb. 1, 8 and 15 in Warner.Maintaining the home landscape will detail what to do to your landscape. The class meets Thursdays on Feb. 22, March 1, 8, 15 and 29.Selecting plants for Oklahoma landscape meets on Thursday evenings on April 5, 12, 19, 26, and May 3.The cost for each of the three classes is $71.45. Enrollment can be completed at the registrars office at the Muskogee or Warner campuse.

Myanmar will hold a huge floriculture show in the country's famous northern city of Pyin Oo Lwin in the middle of this month to promote tourism.
The six-day floriculture show, which will commence Dec. 15 and will be attached with a festival marking the diamond jubilee of the famous National Kandawgyi Garden (NKG) in Pyin Oo Lwin and the opening of the new National Landmarks Garden near the NKG, will showcase 500,000 domestic floral plants and orchids as well as some rare foreign plants, according to the organizer.
