Tulips are in full bloom
The tulips are in full bloom and many of the spring flowers, trees and shrubs are looking their best for the anticipated hundreds of visitors for the event that runs from nine a.m. until five p.m. Those attending can purchase plants, take in vegetable lectures, listen to music and children and participate in lawn games and enter in the scarecrow contest.
Flowers and fashion
THE Eckington Flower Festival and Open Gardens takes place this weekend and promises to be a great family day out. The festival is on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, from noon each day.
First flower show
The 'Chennai Flower Show 2009' to be held at the YMCA Grounds from May 1st to 10th, will hold a display of varieties of flowers imported from different countries. Arrangement of flowers in the shape of a dinosaur, Taj Mahal, the map of India is the main attraction in this show.
Waimate flower
The chrysanthemum grower will be exhibiting his blooms at the South Island chrysanthemum show in Oamaru this weekend. The show, being held in conjunction with the North Otago Horticultural Society's autumn show, will be open to the public in the Scottish Hall between 2.30pm and 4pm on Saturday, and 10am and 4pm on Sunday.
Hundreds of native flowers
The largest celebration of National Wildflower Week in the country will take place here May 2-9. NYC Wildflower Week celebrates all things green and wild in the Big Apple - the hundreds of native flowers, trees, shrubs and grasses that are nestled in the five boroughs.

The Flower Mart, a Baltimore tradition, began May 4,1911. There was much going on in Baltimore that day. In the crowded Lyric Theater, President Taft was opening the third annual Peace Conference and sharing the speaker's platform with Andrew Carnegie and Cardinal Gibbons.

AS the weather starts to get cooler and the leaves start to change colour before dropping, you know autumn has arrived and bringing with it is the annual Autumn Flower Show.
Tropical Foliage and Nature's Paradise
According to Marigold Harding, a judge at the event, the quality of exhibits were not in keeping with those of yesteryear. The event will be open to the public on Saturday and Sunday under the theme, 'Jamaica, Land of Wood and Water.'

Mother's Day Flower Sale Saint Stephen Family Life Committee is sponsoring a Mother's Day flower sale. It will be held Friday, May 8, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday, May 9 from 9:00 a.m. to noon in front of Snyder's Insurance building.
Two events at Philipse Manor Hall
Two events at Philipse Manor Hall during the month of May will herald both Dutch and English heritage in the Yonkers area. The annual Flower Fest will be held on Saturday, May 2nd from 12-3 p.m. and the performance piece Explorations with Henry Hudson will be performed on Sunday, May 17th at 3 p.m.
Beautify Hurleyville
Hurleyville-Sullivan First will hold its fourth annual "Bowling for Flowers" fundraising event beginning at 1 p.m. May 3 at Kiamesha Lanes in Kiamesha Lake. Participants are asked to solicit contributions from friends, relatives, neighbors and co-workers.
National award winning flower shows
On Saturday and Sunday May 2 and 3, Red Bluff Garden Club is presenting its 48th Annual Flower Show & Plant Sale at the fairground Floriculture Building. This year's show theme is "Garden Magic." The show will be highlighted with horticulture examples from local gardens - both cut specimens and container plants.
Annual spring flower show
The Federated Garden Clubs of Nebraska will celebrate its 75th anniversary at the annual spring meeting Friday, April 24, through Sunday, April 26, at the Holiday Inn Express in Lexington. The admission-free show will be open to the public on Friday, April 24, from 1-4 p.m., and Saturday, April 25, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Hawaii and Denver to judge the show
"Portola Valley Platinum," Woodside-Atherton Garden Club's first big flower show in 10 years, will take place Friday and Saturday, April 24 and 25, in the new Portola Valley Town Center, 765 Portola Road.
Flower Show
Bakersfield's Mediterranean climate and long growing season, plus the variety of soils stretching from the southwest to the northeast is a challenge home gardeners enjoy. Come and see what is growing in Bakersfield at the Flower Show sponsored by the Green Thumb Garden Club on Saturday.
Patio Show offers lots of variety
If you're in the mood for spring be sure to check out the fifth annual Greene County Master Gardener's Flower and Patio Show. The event is slated for 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Sunday at the 4-H fairgrounds. Admission is free and this year's theme is "Welcome to our Potting Shed."
Community Park in Flora
The Carroll County Garden Club is hosting its 13th annual Carroll County Flower and Garden Fair on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Merchant's Building at the Community Park in Flora. Admission is free.
60 floral arrangers
Presented by the Women's Committee of the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art, this four day event features imaginative floral interpretations of masterpieces from the museum's extensive permanent collection. More than 60 floral arrangers, table setters and garden designers from the greater Hartford area will participate. A number of free tours and lectures are scheduled throughout the event and Seasonal plants, herbs and crafts created by local artisans will be available for purchase.
Spring Flower Show
THE 2009 Harrogate Spring Flower Show gets under way at the Great Yorkshire Showground, Harrogate, on Thursday for four days. Fifteen nurseries will be exhibiting at the show for the first time, and 24 will be competing in the innovative display competition, with its holiday destination theme.
Opening ceremony
The opening ceremony for the 2009 Spring Flower and Garden Show will begin with scholarship and booth awards at 1:45 Friday, April 24, at the entrance of the Community Complex at the Cumberland County Fairgrounds. Following the awards, Master Gardener Beth Morgan will play the bagpipes before the ribbon cutting. After studying in Scotland, Morgan has been playing for about 10 years and competes with the Knoxville Pipes and Drums. She is also available to play for local events.
Annual city festival
The 23rd annual Green Thumb Festival is Saturday and Sunday, April 25-26, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Walter Fuller Park, 7891 26th Ave, N. in St. Petersburg. Join in the fun and excitement of celebrating Arbor Day and Earth Day at this annual city festival.
Wesley Berry Flowers is holding a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, April 30 for its new flagship store and corporate office in Commerce Township. Wesley Berry is also conducting an essay contest, "Michigan's Favorite Mom." The winner of the 200-word essay will receive a $1,000 Mother's Day bouquet and three dozen roses every week for a year.
Flower festival
According to Canon Geoffrey Ravalde, vicar of St Mary's, the flower festival is to celebrate the progress. The festival will be held from April 23 until April 26 with a parish concert on Saturday, April 25 at 7.30pm and a special service on Sunday, April 26 from 6.30pm.
Art in the Garden
The flower show will be held at the ESRI Café, 370 New York St., Redlands. The uncommon plant sale will be held at the RHIS Plant Propagation Yard (next to the Carriage House) in Prospect Park, 1352 Prospect Drive, Redlands. Participants will also have a chance to tour the various springtime gardens of Redlands. Entries welcome. Tickets and entry schedules can be obtained at several local nurseries and businesses.
Cincinnati Flower Show
The Cincinnati Flower Show, Saturday-April 26, has moved up to Symmes Township Park from Coney Island, with new offerings from local restaurants. David Cook of Daveed's is managing the Café des Artists fine dining restaurant.
Annual flower communion
To greet the spring season, the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Bell County will have its annual flower communion at 10:45 a.m. Sunday. Each attendee is asked to take a flower of his or her choice.
Club to present flowers
The Bonner Springs Garden Club is presenting a Holiday Standard Flower Show, "Beyond Easter," from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday, April 21, in the community room across from the library at the Bonner Springs Community Center, 200 E. 3rd St.
Garden-themed events
Loudoun County's annual Arbor Day celebration will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at historic Oatlands Plantation, five miles south of Leesburg. The free event includes a parade at 11 a.m. and tree-related exhibitions, demonstrations and children's activities.
Queen of flowers
Rose lovers from all parts of the country bring hundreds of flowers from their gardens, farms and nurseries and put them on display in the festival.This year's Annual Spring Rose Festival is being held on April 15 in the multi-purpose hall of the Islamabad Club.
20th year flower show
Crews have started putting in all the flowers and landscaping that makes this show so visually impressive. The flower show is moving from Coney Island to Symmes Township Park. The Cincinnati Horticultural Society has been in negotiations for about a year to move the show.
Yorkshire Dales
The festival is being co-ordinated by the Clapham-based Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust (YDMT), with the event being run by a wide range of organisations and individuals. Running from May to September, events will take place throughout the Yorkshire Dales and there should be something for everyone.
80 displays of floral finesse
The show - expected to attract more than 40,000 people during its eight-day run - brings a new location this year and possibly a new chapter to the Cincinnati Horticultural Society's involvement with the region.
Sanctuary Garden
The garden draws on the experience of people who have come to Cardiff looking for sanctuary. It brings together local people, refugees, a designer from the area (Paul Melvin), and the support of 11 churches in the Cardiff ecumenical group.
Spring flowers
Mid-April is seen as the best time to see the flowers. The displays include tulips, lilies, narcissus and other plants. The displays are created by different growers, and are judged as part of a competition. Keukenhof garden has attracted more than 44 million people from around the world since its opening 60 years ago.
The Wildflower Center
The Wildflower Center holds Spring and Fall Plant Sales and Gardening Festivals at the Center. These are opportunities to choose from the best selection of Texas native plants, typically almost 300 species. The events feature artists and authors signing their works in the store and guided walks and talks and tips for your garden from experts.

The horticulture and floral arrangements
"This is a friendly competition among the club members and also an opportunity to reveal the talents of the members," said club member Melinda S. Bothe. The tour is also an opportunity for the public to see five unique and interesting homes.
300 million blooms flourishing
The Fragrance Garden sponsored by Guerlin Perfumes revealed more than 15 floral, herbal and spice ingredients used in popular perfumes can be sniffed in the Fragrance Garden. There are perfume bottle topiaries scattered throughout the Fragrance Garden located in the France Pavilion.
Annual flower show
Tourists and flower lovers will have a treat at the summer resort here after the Government Botanical Gardens decided to extend the annual flower show by one more day.
National Garden Club
The Lecompte Garden Club's 2009 Standard Flower Show will be held Thursday, April 30 from 1:30 - 4:30 p.m. at historic Smith's Landing, Hardy and Water Streets in Lecompte.
Flower Show & Festival
The Kenton Lakes Flower Show & Festival is set to take place May 14 - 17 at the Kenton Lakes SportsPlex in Mourningview, Kentucky. Denny Robinson, who serves as the Event Coordinator, has established approximately 40 flower beds around the Lakes as part of the event.
Spectacular flower festivals
The walls of the bridge of Vilhena Gate will be dressed with flowers and bay leaf decorations will grace the main gate and pedestals outside the gate and in St Publiu's Square, as well as on some houses in St Paul's Square. Some of the chapels will also be decorated with flowers.
Flower festivals starting this week
The exhibition is divided into four parts. While the first division, "Beauty Garden," shows relatively ordinary flower paintings, the second and third, "Fantastic Garden" and "Re-creation Garden," exhibit abstract and reinterpreted paintings, plus installations featuring flowers.
Shrubs and Flowers
Oswego/Naperville branch of Green View Companies, designed and coordinated the displays for this year's flower show at Macy's on State Street in Chicago. The show opens today and runs through April 19.
Easter season flower
Macy's has been staging Easter season flower shows in its downtown stores in four major cities for 60 years. The producer of the shows, Robin Hall, says he's been wanting to add Philadelphia to the list since the chain acquired the building at Juniper and Market three years ago:
Shanghai Botanical Garden
The Shanghai Flower Exhibition will be held in the Shanghai Botanical Garden. Starting on Friday, many varieties of flowers and plants will be displayed for visitors throughout the garden's four hundred thousand square meter area.
Spring flowers
The mountain and surrounding area will play host to the "Spring Flower Festival" this weekend for three days starting tomorrow. The mountain and neighboring areas are known for the forsythias that emerge every spring to blanket the region in warm shades of yellow.
Traditional flower stall
For two weeks, passengers and visitors will be able to enjoy a flower garden of 10,000 lilacs, and purple and white tulips in full bloom at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. The garden comes with a traditional flower stall, and visitors can sit at picnic tables to take in the fragrances and colors.
Pensacola Area's festivals
The Emerald Coast Flower and Garden Show is this weekend - April 3-5, 2009. It's out in Milton on the PJC Campus. It is unique among the Pensacola Area's festivals in that it is small and focused - every vendor is absolutely relevant to Flowers or Gardening. All of the vendors are VERY knowledgeable. Great finds range from bonsai to orchids to grapefruit trees.
The garden is arranged by flower colors
The original rose garden was removed for an expansion of The Haggin Museum many years ago. The new rose garden was the work of Stockton Beautiful to beautify the Stockton community.The Stockton Rose Society had some input into the selection of roses and continues to use the garden for educational activities.
