Flower Show
mums hold center stage at the Baltimore Conservatory's annual Fall Flower Show, where visitors -- admission is free but a $2 donation is gratefully appreciated -- can see the splendor, variety and power of chrysanthemums.
The conservatory, located on Swan Drive in Druid Hill Park, is open Tuesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the exhibition continues through Nov. 15.
Red Flanders poppies, Blue cornflowers
In the cool mountain climate of the Granite Belt these red poppies begin blooming mid-October and continue until the end of November. The scarlet Flanders poppies of the Remembrance Field are part of Glen Aplin's Red November celebration of the region's excellent red wines, strawberries and cherries.
Flower show
The district and its 14 garden clubs are inviting the public to view floral displays, horticultural specimens and artistic crafts from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Collinsville Historical Museum.
Flower show
The Garden Forum of Greater Youngstown will have a holiday flower show, a standard flower show, luncheon and general meeting on Nov. 11 at the Davis Center at Fellows Riverside Gardens. Flower show registration will be from 8:30-10:30 a.m. The show will be open to the public.
Sprawling Gardens
The Tibetan Buddhist Society's Peaceful Land of Joy Meditation Centre in Yuroke will show off the sprawling gardens and beautiful temple that are a backdrop to rich ideas.
Wisbech Standard
Porcelain sculpting. Taipei artist Afa Lu will do a live sculpting demonstration at a Franz Porcelain event. Noon-5 p.m. Nov. 6. Floral design demos, refreshments.

The colourful and innovative gardens
The Taranaki Rhododendron & Garden Festival gives horticulture enthusiasts the chance to wander around 60 private gardens at the height of rhododendron-blooming season.
Gardening Workshop
Garden plots are now available to area residents at the Community Garden on Hale Street Extension in Norwich. There will be a lasagna gardening workshop on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the garden.
Chrysanthemum show and sale
Descanso celebrates Japanese arts, crafts and culture with a weekend of activities for the whole family.
Events include: an Ikebana display from Kaz Kitajama of the Sogetsu School of Ikebana (both days), a chrysanthemum show and sale (both days) and a taiko drum performance (Sat. only at 1 p.m.) where afterward you can try your hand at drumming. All events are free with Garden's admission.
Victoria's leading orchid growers
SPECTACULAR spring orchids will be on show in Silvan this weekend.
Nursery B and T Ferns and Orchids will host the free, annual Yarra Valley Orchid Society Spring Sarcochilus and Orchid Spectacular on 7 and 8 November.
Chinese rose works
The "Chinese Rose Culture Show in Golden Autumn" opened in the Municipal People's Park in Shenzhen on October 31, 2009.
From October 31 to November 15, the Show will exhibit the photographic arts of Wang Shiguang, who is a member of Chinese Rose Branch of Chinese Flower Association, engaging in the collection, preservation and photography of Chinese old roses.
Camellia Flower Show
The Onslow County Master Gardener Volunteers are hosting the 2nd annual Camellia Flower Show, Seminar and Sale on Nov. 7.
Camellias will be for sale at the Farmer's Market from 8:30 a.m. to 1: 30 p.m. The Camellia show and seminars will take place from noon to 5 p.m. at the Onslow County Multipurpose Complex on U.S. 258.
Chelsea flower show
THE DARLING of the Chelsea flower show is holding a flower arranging demonstration at a community hospice in Enfield.
Hans Haverkamp, who won Best in Show and Gold at Chelsea Flower Show in 2007, has agreed to divulge his methods in a 90 minute demonstration in aid of the Nightingale Community Hospice in Lancaster Road.
Maintenance of House Plants
To arouse public interest in horticulture and to enhance awareness of greening, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department will hold a horticulture education exhibition to promote home gardening on (October 31) and on Sunday (November 1) from 10am to 4pm at the Arcade of Kowloon Park.
The Shoshone Flower Building
The Shoshone Flower Building will host the Desert Art & Craft Show from noon to 5 p.m. Oct. 30; 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Oct. 31 and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Nov. 1 in Shoshone.
This is an opportunity to do some unique Christmas shopping and visit the museum.
